Photos by James Lissimore No sooner does the snow start flying in the Great White North and the west coast AX series starts up. The Future West Moto Arenacross series is a mainstay for our west coast riders and it started this past weekend in Chilliwack, BC in the big barn. Both nights saw plenty of action and there were a number of FXR athletes on hand to shake things up. Here is a look at some of the competition from Round 1 and 2. The series will run again this coming weekend at the same location and then there will be a break over the Christmas holidays and things will ramp up again come the first of February.
Young Langley, BC native Ryan Kernested would take 3rd in 85cc (12-16) and 5th in Supermini both nights.
#78 Thomas Marston took 9th in Round 1 and 10th in Round 2 in the Supermini class.
Marcus Deausy had a 12th / DNF in the Pro Am Lights class.
Kamloops rider Geoff Klassen would take 1st / 2nd in Plus 40 and 8th / 6th in Plus 30.
Jacob Helfrich #29 would take 6th / 7th in the 65 (10-11) class.
Just fresh off the Triple Crown SX Tour, Wyatt Waddell would line up for the Pro classes in Chilliwack.
Young Jayden Debodt out of Duncan, BC would take 3rd / 2nd in 65 (7-9) and 4th / 4th in the 65 Open class.
Wesley Carlson would take 8th / 8th in Open Junior and 13th / 9th in 250 Junior.
Wyatt Waddell on the line with his biggest fan and wrench.
Charles Charlton would take 3rd in Supermini and 2nd in 85 (12-16) in Round 1.
Kernested hitting the rails in the big barn.
Wyatt Waddell would take 6th / 5th in Pro Open and 7th / 6th in Pro Am Lights.
Mission, BC rider Tyler Gibbs would only complete Moto 1 on the first night where took 3rd in the Pro Open and 8th in Pro Am Lights.
Watch for more solid results from Debodt as we work our way through the series.
Brody Brown took 8th / 9th in Supermini and 5th / 7th in 85 (7-11).
Abbotsford fast guy Ivan Heppner would take 3rd / 4th in 85 (7-11).
Jake Heppner would go 4th / 3rd in 85 (7-11) and would take 7th on night two in Supermini.
Braxton Zeitner was unstoppable in Chilliwack where he swept both 59 (4-6) and 50 Open classes both nights.
Marcus Deausy would go on to take 5th / 6th in 250 Intermediate and would take 3rd on the first night in Open Intermediate.
